8.30 am: After finishing breakfast, tour guide and driver pick you up at the hotel for Hanoi Half-Day Morning Tour.
8.30 am - 10.00 am: Visiting Ho Chi Minh Complex. Firstly, entering Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where the body of the “great old Father” leading Vietnam to independence. The Mausoleum is located in Ba Dinh Square where Ho Chi Minh read the declaration of establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on 2nd September 1945. Then, you will have a chance to see House 54 and House-on-stilt where Ho Chi Minh lived during his last 15 years. Before moving to the next site, you also pay a visit One Pillar Pagoda nearby which is one of the most unique architectures in Asia.
10.00 am - 11.00 am: Continuing the tour to visit Temple of Literature which was built in the 1070s to worship Confucius and serve as a place for King’s children to study. Therefore, it is considered as the first university, preserving many valuable objects and documents of educational history in Vietnam
11.00 am - 12.00: The driver takes you back to the city center of Hanoi’s Old Quarter where you will get on a cyclo tour going around this area, especially Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Sitting on the unique vehicle, driving through the chaotic traffic of Hanoi, watching the life on sidewalks in which local people take seats, sell merchandise, cook and eat, even sleep. This time is best for you to take plenty of memorable photos.
12.00 - 12.30: The cyclo will drop you at a local cafe, then you can enjoy traditional coffee, especially egg coffee which is unique in Hanoi. Moreover, what’s more than a cup of coffee are stories behind, about coffee history, local lifestyle, and culture.
After coffee time, you will be taken back to your hotel for rest. Tour ends.
Notes: As the tour will visit some sacred places such as Temples and Mausoleum, to show your best respect, you should dress properly to cover your shoulders and your knees.
